The James Patterson Speaker Series

The James Patterson Speaker Series is a flagship component of the James Patterson Honors Program (JPHP) at Manhattan University.

Spring 2026 Speakers

 Why It Matters

  • It gives JPHP students direct access to accomplished professionals, innovators, and thought-leaders from a wide range of fields.

  • It fosters meaningful interaction: not just lectures, but conversations, Q&A sessions, networking, mentorship, and behind-the-scenes engagement.

  • It enhances the university’s profile by bringing high-impact speakers to campus, connecting students with alumni and industry partners, and showcasing Manhattan University as a center for leadership, creativity, and professional growth.

What to Expect

  • Exclusive student engagement: JPHP students have special opportunities to meet speakers in smaller settings: workshops, panels, or informal gatherings all enabling deeper dialogue and mentorship.

  • Open campus events: Many Speaker Series events are open to the entire Manhattan community, all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families.

  • Varied formats: Lectures, fireside chats, book talks, or interviews, the series will feature diverse formats to appeal to different learning styles and interests.

  • Networking & inspiration: Beyond the content of the talks themselves, these events are catalysts: new ideas, new connections, new perspectives for students as they build their career paths.
